Symposium Musicum (2023)
The album Symposium Musicum is developed from field recordings, interviews, and observations collected in the villages of Podolínec, Lomnička, Levočské Vrchy, and Kolačkov - all areas of the eastern and north-eastern Slovakia with significant Romani enclaves. The pieces resulting from these interactions encourage the listener to tune in for a delicate negotiation of language, (audible) gesture, and storytelling.
SESTRO (2022)
SESTRO is a compilation of electronic music from the Odesa-based label система | system, designed to bring together musicians from Ukraine who have been released on our label and performed at events we have organized. For many years we strive to cover a wide, diverse, and adventurous spectrum of Ukrainian music. The goal of the compilation is to directly financially support (ГО Сфера) Sphere (@womenspheresolidarity) which is a Kharkiv-based organization that actively helps women and LGBT+ people from eastern Ukraine in territories that are heavily affected by war. NGO Sphere (ГО Сфера) supplies crisis kits for women in frontline areas and also provides financial assistance to vulnerable groups of women, organizes legal and medical consultations, provides psychological assistance, informational campaigns, and activist events.
BUBNY VOICES (2020)
A release based on the audio installation and soundscape research of Bubny Railway Station area in Prague in 2020.
The Bubny Voices is an artistic documentation of the Nádraží Bubny area in Prague, which is about to be destroyed.
The compositions are created in collaboration with Olesia Onykiienko [NFNR] out of field recordings collected around the Bubny railway station by local inhabitants.
Originally the piece was supposed to be a site-specific performance at Nádraží Bubny. Due to the lockdown borders were closed, thus we did not have access to the city. We decided to approach Bubny through auditory impressions of the local residents.
Bubny Voices reflects the experience of new places based on imagination rather than sensations. In such a way, we fulfilled a need for discovery in times of limited freedom of movement. We suggest using imagination in order to document places that disappear. The work aims to grasp collective aural memories of Bubny to be experienced after the area disappears.
Bubny Voices were created as part of the Performance Crossing Festival in Prague in May-June 2020. The album released by the Ukrainian label система | system.
